5th Night

And so we continue the pre-crew RP -

Our first origin story consisted of "Smooth" Louie paying a visit to now Dr. Wilhelm Stirner. Louie brought along "Numbers", a Syndicate associate who had a knife wound that needed treatment. Stirner, still owing the Syndicate for his education, did the surgery despite his growing discontent with the deal.

Next up we saw AR working at a new garage and dating the daughter of the guy who owned the shop. Things were going good for our blind mechanic until his girl found the money AR had stashed in the floor of the garage. Her father thought AR was stealing from him, and she was upset that AR never spent any money on her but had so much hidden away.

Becka, still trying to get off-world after her fiancé dumped her and a con-man took her for her life savings, is trying unsuccessfully to hire on as a pilot. Finally she finds a ship with a captain willing to take a chance on her due to her father's excellent rep, and Becka even manages to charm the stoic gunslinger who acts as the ship's security into not objecting too strongly.

We then moved on to Kate and her first job working as a cook in a high-class restaurant. The head chef was not very understanding of her, the kitchen staff were far messier than Kate could handle, and there was this klutzy soup-boy who kept making a disaster of every little thing.

Finally we topped off the evening with a scene where Cal, shortly after losing his job to a pool shark but finally learning what he wants to do with his life, is approached by an Alliance military recruiter sent by Cal's father. The recruiter, much to Cal's dislike, was accompanied by a new seaman who had been a senior at Cal's college when Cal was a freshman - a senior who had mercilessly picked on Cal.

Next up we have three more Round 3 origin stories, and from there we'll discuss Round 4 (the last of the origin stories before the hirings) and work as a group to make them combine different PCs together prior to being hired for crewing Guardian Angel.
